‘Log out before you go out’: Social media warning for schoolies revellers

A wild brawl which broke out in the heart of schoolies celebrations has been caught on camera, prompting a warning for revellers to avoid using social media..

The video, which was posted to Snapchat, shows a group of men throwing punches and tackling each other to the ground as police rush to break it up.

This vision is just one of a number of shocking videos posted to social media during the end of year celebrations, with authorities warning schoolies to think before posting.

“Always log out before you go out,” Dimity Short from Red Frogs told 9NEWS.

“Once it’s online it’s on there for good.”

Earlier this week, shocking footage emerged of teenagers believed to be taking ecstasy and inhaling nitrous oxide.

The video showed one teen poking out his tongue – claiming to be taking 'a tab', while another breathes in what looks like a balloon, believed to be full of the potential deadly nitrous oxide – or "nang".

At least 47 people have been arrested during the first week of schoolies celebrations.
