Snow arrives at The Otways in Victoria

An unseasonal sprinkling of snow has hit Victoria’s Great Otway Natonal Park this morning, just a month before the start of summer.

Despite spring being in full swing, a cold snap triggered patchy frost near the Grampians light dusting of snow above 900 metres, the Bureau of Meteorology reported.

Photographs show tables and chairs cloaked in a thin veil of white at The Beechy Hotel, located in the Beech Forest on the Great Ocean Road.

Another picture captured colourful flowers and ferns dusted in snow outside the pub.

Temperatures are set to reach a maximum of 14 degrees Celsius in the region today.
