Sniffer pups searching for a happy home

It's a ruff job, but somebody's got to do it.

The Australian Border Force is searching for friendly families to raise the nation's next group of detector dogs.

Yep - they're the canines usually searching for explosives, drugs, cash, guns and tobacco at the airport.

But before then, they'll just be the family puppy - albeit for only 15 months.

To qualify you just need a bit of yard, be willing to socialise the puppy at least two or three times a week - including at schools, playgrounds and shopping centres - and have a car.

That's before they're doggone.
