Woman bitten on nose by snake at Cairns home

A woman has been bitten on the nose by a snake this morning at a residential property.

The woman, aged in her 50s, was bitten just after 5am at a home in suburban Westcourt.

She was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

QLD Ambulance members couldn’t say what the woman was doing when she was attacked.

The species of snake is yet to be determined.
