Six women turn up to friend’s wedding in same dress

It’s every woman’s worst nightmare, turning up to a function and finding somebody else in the same dress.

Well, imagine the looks of shock and horror for these guests when they arrived for a recent wedding.

But the six women managed to laugh off the common blunder after all choosing the $160 ‘Forever New’ navy and white pencil dress on Saturday.

“No we are NOT the bridesmaid just the guests," Sydney resident Debbie Speranza posted on the 'Forever New' Facebook page the following day.

“You really should start a bridal registry so that your customers can inquire whether anyone else has purchased one of your dresses for the same event.”

The post has since gone viral on Facebook, attracting over 35,000 likes and an array of comments from others who have laughed off a similar blunder.

“Went to a Christmas party many years ago and though dresses were bought in different cities and states, three ladies turned up in the same dress. Guess they all had good taste!” on user wrote.

"It happens,” said another.

"Cannot believe how many likes and comments ... Forever New, you owe me a gift voucher for all this advertisement,” Ms Speranza later joked on her Facebook page.
