Singh faithful to Labor

Labor senator Lisa Singh has toed the party line all the way to the ballot box, despite being relegated to last place by the ALP on their Tasmanian upper house ticket.

The Hobart-based politician will need strong support below the line for a chance at re-election with Labor tipped to pick up only four senate spots across the state.

"It was disappointing to find myself lower down on the ticket but since then I've been campaigning hard, Labor's been campaigning hard and I've been campaigning for as many Labor senators to be elected as possible, whatever order that comes in," she told reporters before she cast her vote on Saturday.
