Melbourne motorists warned of traffic bedlam after serious crash on West Gate Freeway
Melbourne motorists are being warned of traffic delays up to 90 minutes this evening after a crash on the West Gate Freeway left one motorcyclist fighting for life and another injured.
Traffic is crawling on the West Gate Freeway, where just two lanes are open after a pair of motorcycles collided in Spotswood about 12.15pm.
Both riders were taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital, one with critical injuries and the other with minor injuries.

The crash has caused traffic chaos across the city, with multiple major arterials gridlocked.
Three outbound lanes of the West Gate Freeway remain closed just before the Williamstown Road exit, with traffic backed into the Domain Tunnel.
The crash has also caused major delays on inbound lanes of the Monash Freeway from Toorak Road to the Domain Tunnel.
Motorists are advised to expect major traffic delays throughout peak hour and take detours where possible, including the Tullamarine Freeway, Calder Freeway and M80 Ring Road.
