Shots fired after man confronts home invaders in NSW city

Police are investigating how shots were fired today during a home invasion in northern New South Wales.
About 2.10am, officers were called to a home at Park Street in Port Macquarie, over reports of a break-in.
They learnt multiple intruders entered the property where they confronted a 26-year-old man and shots were fired.

The offenders fled the property a short time later.
The man was not physically injured.
Police set up a crime scene, and investigations are continuing.
