Shot fired outside Queensland home

Police are hunting for a gunman after a shot fired from a car pierced the wall of a home in the Gold Coast hinterland.

The bullet hit a car that was parked in the driveway and ricocheted through a bedroom wall on the second level of the Lower Beechmont home just before 11pm (AEST) on Sunday.

The gunmen then speed off.

No one was hurt and police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
