Shot bikie charged for staying quiet

He was shot in the leg in Sydney's west, but refused to tell police what happened.

Now a bikie gang member is staring down the barrel of a court appearance after being charged for stonewalling detectives.

The 23-year-old Lone Wolf member turned up at hospital on April 16 with a gunshot wound in his left leg.

A couple of hours earlier police and paramedics had responded to reports of a man being shot on Bedford Road at Homebush West, but found just a pool of blood and no victim.

The 23-year-old man kept shtum when grilled about the shooting and was subsequently charged with concealing a serious indictable offence.

He's due to appear at Burwood Local Court on May 29.

Meanwhile, a 19-year-old man is also refusing to co-operate with police after being shot in the stomach.

He turned up at hospital in Randwick on Tuesday night with a pellet lodged in his abdomen.

The man refused to help detectives and was due to have surgery to remove the pellet.

Police believe he may have been shot at Heffron Park in Maroubra.
