Bill Shorten has taken the first phone calls in a telethon for Perth's children's hospital.
The Labor leader was recruited by Mix FM to answer the calls from donors in the fundraiser for the Princess Margaret Hospital.
"When you see kids doing it hard and they get that little bit extra, it makes it all worthwhile," Mr Shorten said during election campaigning in Western Australia.
