Shop worker chases down alleged thieves in Adelaide
An Adelaide convenience store worker is begging police for more protection after a frightening incident chasing down an alleged shoplifter.
CCTV captured the moment the would-be thief entered the Franklin Street store in Adelaide's CBD while two others kept a lookout.
The worker chased them after they allegedly stole a bottle of coke and tried to leave.

Video appears to show the worker, who wants his identity concealed, being chased back inside.
The intruders appear to try to intimidate the victim, grabbing cans of soft drink and hurling them at him.
The worker told 9News the incident followed months of repeated thefts and police weren't doing enough.
"During the six years in this store, we have more than hundreds of cases of thieves," the worker said.

"This business is still leaking money."
He said another incident last year, involving three women, left him in hospital with severe injuries.
The worker said on countless occasions he approached police for help.
He wanted more to be done to help workers like him have better protection from the law.
"We are exhausted from this situation happening again and again and nothing happened," he said.
