Shop staff slashed with a knife during alleged robbery in Adelaide's north

A retail worker has been slashed with a knife during a robbery in Adelaide's north.

The alleged attacker then fled the scene.

Just after 12.30pm today police say a man entered an electronics store on Main North Road in Gepps Cross and stole some items.

He was challenged by staff as he was leaving, police said.

After giving back multiple items he allegedly produced a knife and cut a staff member's arm before fleeing on foot.

The staff member received a minor cut to their arm.

Police say the man is about 183cm tall, and between 25-30 years-old with a medium build and wearing dark clothing.

Police are currently searching the area for the man.
