Shooting victim in bullet-riddled car drives himself to hospital
Detectives have seized the vehicle.
A gunshot victim has arrived at hospital after driving himself in his bullet-riddled car in Melbourne.
Authorities said the injured 35-year-old arrived at The Northern Hospital in Epping just after 3am today and asked staff for assistance.
The car, which remained outside the hospital until at least midday, has been taped off by detectives. At least seven bullet holes are visible through the back window.
The Thomastown was transported to Royal Melbourne Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
He is assisting police with their investigation.
The circumstance surrounding the shooting are still unclear.
The Northern Hospital said no operations were impacted by the man’s arrival.
