Shocking video has been released of the moment a Brisbane motorbike rider smashed into a passing car at an intersection at high-speed and barely missed a group of pedestrians trying to cross the road.

The 23-year-old rider, who was travelling southbound along Gympie Road in Lutwyche at 3.20pm on June 18, was filmed on CCTV crashing into the car and skidding for several metres.

Moments later, another motorbike rider flies through the intersection onto Lutwyche Road and manages to weave through the traffic, almost suffering the same fate.

Police are appealing to anyone who might have seen the pair riding together to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
