Violent home invasion in northern Victoria leaves man and woman injured
A man and a woman have been taken to hospital after they were assaulted during a home invasion in northern Victoria this morning.
Emergency services were called to a home in Community street in Shepparton just after 5am.
Police believe two residents, a man in his 40s and a woman in her 30s, were assaulted by unknown offenders.

They both sustained injuries to their upper and lower bodies and were taken to Goulburn Valley Health in a stable condition.
Police continue to investigate the incident and are urging witnesses or anyone with CCTV, dashcam footage or any other information to contact Crime Stoppers.
