Man dies after stabbing in walkway under Shellharbour Road

A man has been stabbed to death in Shellharbour, about 100 kilometres south of Sydney this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to a walkway under Shellharbour Road at Dunmore just before 3pm after reports that a man had been stabbed.

Police and paramedics treated a man at the scene but he died despite their efforts.

The man has not yet been formally identified.

Lake Illawarra Police have established a crime scene along with the State Crime Command Homicide Squad.
