Serious incident forces closure of Pacific Motorway at Coomera

A serious incident has forced the closure of the northbound lanes of the M1 Pacific Motorway at Coomera for the next few hours.

Brisbane-bound drivers have been warned to expect heavy delays due to the closure between exit 54 and 45, after the incident happened about just before noon.

The M1 is expected to remain closed for several hours, police said.

Diversions are in place but traffic remains heavy.
