Man killed in head-on collision on Bruce Highway at Gympie

Police are investigating after a man died in a two-vehicle crash at Gympie this afternoon.

Preliminary information suggests a head on collision occurred around 1.15pm AEST near the intersection of Hall Road on the Bruce Highway.

The driver and sole occupant of one vehicle, a 40-year-old Cooran man, died at the scene.

A 55-year-old Deception Bay man, the driver and sole occupant of the other vehicle, received minor injuries and was transported to Gympie Hospital.
