Woman missing near Blue Mountains found alive by police

A missing Sydney woman, who was believed to have been travelling to the Blue Mountains, has been found by police.
Monika Lak, 43, was last seen at an address on the Great Western Highway in Pendle Hill about 12.45pm yesterday.

Ms Lak’s family and police had expressed serious concerns for her welfare.
She was found with her car in O'Connell, south of Bathurst, about 1.45pm today by police.
Officers spoke with Ms Lak and she is undergoing assessment at hospital.
Police thanked the media and the public for their assistance in the search.
