Senator's Ned Kelly suit fetching $1K

A Ned Kelly suit of armour independent senator John Madigan has whipped up is fetching just over $1000 on auction site eBay.
The former blacksmith is selling the armour to raise money for his election campaign and the auction expires in close to 10 days.
So far it has attracted 29 bids and the highest is $1025.
