Senate inquiry into COAG outcomes

A Senate committee will investigate the federal government's agreements with the states and territories on schools and hospital funding.
Labor won the backing of the Senate on Tuesday to have the outcomes of the most recent Council of Australian Governments meeting between the prime minister and premiers referred to a Senate committee.
The inquiry will look at schools and hospital funding as well as taxation and is due to report by May 4.
