Police have charged a 17-year-old boy following an alleged armed robbery in Frankston in early November.

Police allege a BMW was stolen during an aggravated burglary in Doncaster between November 3 and 4.

The BMW was then allegedly used during an armed robbery in which a Ford XR6 was stolen in Bartlett Street on November 6 at about 2.40am.

Police believe three days later the same BMW was allegedly involved in a fatal collision in Mordialloc that killed a 47-year-old Carrum Downs woman.

Police have already charged an 18-year-old man in relation the armed robbery, and a 15-year-old boy in relation to the fatal collision.

The 17-year-old charged yesterday with armed robbery will appear at the Children's Court at a later date.
