Second person charged over alleged cruise ship brawl

NSW Police have charged a second person over an alleged assault on a cruise ship.

A man, 40, was charged yesterday with affray after an incident last month on the P&O Pacific Explorer in which a man was struck with an empty wine bottle.

The cruise ship was on a three-night round trip out of Sydney when the incident occurred.

The man charged is known to a 37-year-old woman, Tatiana Baladina, who last month was charged with reckless wounding and affray over the incident.

Police say a fight between several men and a woman took place after an argument about a toilet line queue.

During the brawl a 21-year-old man has allegedly struck on the head with an empty wine bottle.

Six men were subsequently released without charge pending further inquiries.

The charged man was granted conditional bail and is due to appear at Downing Street Court next month.

Police from the Marine Area Command are continuing inquiries.
