Second man charged over alleged ski kidnap

An ACT man who allegedly helped rob a NSW ski resort, tied up the manager and bundled him into a van has been extradited to NSW.

The attempted abduction allegedly came after two masked robbers struck the hotel on Jindabyne's Friday Drive, not far from the Thredbo skifields, about 4.15am on March 12.

They allegedly stole cash from the safe before tying up the duty manager, forcing him into the van and driving away.

Police say the manager was badly injured when he jumped from the moving van to escape his would-be kidnappers.

A 34-year-old was arrested in May, and on Thursday police arrested a 30-year-old man in the Canberra suburb of Cook.

The 30-year-old has been extradited to NSW and charged with robbery in company, kidnapping and taking a conveyance without consent.

He has been refused bail and will appear in Queanbeyan Local Court on Friday.
