Search underway for prisoners on the run from Queensland jail

Authorities are searching for two men who have escaped from a correctional facility north of Rockhampton, Queensland.

Ryan William Miller and Aaron Lee Woods had both been serving sentences for assault offences at the low-security Capricornia Correctional Centre Farm when they escaped this morning.

Police have described Mr Miller as 183 cm tall, medium build with a fair skin, blue eyes, black hair and a tribal design tattoo on his left forearm.

Mr Woods is about 183cm tall, medium build with brown eyes, dark brown hair, olive skin and facial hair, police said.

He has tattoos on his chest, right arm and hand, and both legs.
