Search continues for man missing in Brisbane River

The search for a man missing in the Brisbane River has resumed this morning.

Emergency services were called to Jindalee Boat Ramp just before 5.40am yesterday morning in Brisbane's south-west.

They were told a 23-year-old man had fallen into the river while socialising with family and friends.

It's understood the man can't swim, so some of those he was with jumped in the water to try and rescue him, but he has not been seen since.

Today's search is focusing on the river and shoreline upstream from Seventeen Mile Rocks.

Water Police, foot patrols, Polair, and the SES are all involved in the search.

Anybody with information is urged to contact police.
