Missing Sydney bushwalkers found in Blue Mountains

A Sydney couple who went missing while bushwalking in the NSW Blue Mountains has been found safe and well.

Emergency crews had been searching for Hyung Lee, 65, and his wife Kyunghye Lee, 63, after they failed to return from a three-hour walk along the Florabella Pass, west of Penrith, yesterday.

Police said the couple caught a train to the Blue Mountains from their Strathfield home before 8am, with concerned relatives raising the alarm when they did not return.

It is understood they walked into a backyard in the area after spending the night lost in chilly weather conditions.

The pair weren't prepared for an overnight stay.

A search involving police, paramedics and a rescue helicopter had been set to resume this morning after crews looked for the Strathfield couple until 2am.
