Scuba diver dies off Victorian coast

A scuba diver has died after getting into difficulty in water off Victoria's Mornington Peninsula.
Police said the man was diving alone in waters at Rye when he got into difficulty underwater.
He was found at about 3pm (AEDT) by a group of scuba divers who were in the area.

The divers brought the man to shore and attempted to revive him, but were unsuccessful.
The man, believed to be in his 40s, was declared dead at the scene.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
