Screwdriver used in robberies

A man has allegedly threatened shop staff with a screwdriver during a spate of armed robberies in western Sydney.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Anthony Mobberley, 31, for breach of parole following the robberies at fast food outlets at St Peters, Lidcombe, Ashfield, Smithfield, Bass Hill and Bexley in the past month.

The robberies involved staff being threatened with a screwdriver.

During the robbery of a fast food outlet on the Princes Highway at St Peters on February 5, a white hockey mask was used as a disguise.

Police are concerned the incidents are escalating and are seeking information from the public.

Mobberley is described as being of Caucasian appearance, with a slim build, fair complexion, brown eyes and brown hair.
