Ray Hadley makes up with Scott Morrison, revealing 'He's the boss'

The Prime Minister and Sydney radio host Ray Hadley have kissed and made up after a spectacular and bitter falling out more than twelve months ago.

Scott Morrison appeared on the top rating 2GB morning show for the first time, since Hadley accused the then Treasurer of "lying" and banned him from his show.

Mr Morrison had a regular spot, but a furious Hadley dumped him when he appeared on an ABC Melbourne radio program.

"The love affair, or the bromance that has been written about, is over," Hadley thundered at the time.

The bromance might not yet be fully back on, but the first tentative steps towards a lasting embrace have been taken.

"It's been a while," they conceded this morning.

"He's now the boss," Hadley said.

"Numero uno."

The syndicated show, with its massive audiences, is seen as a crucial platform for politicians with Hadley favourites Tony Abbott and Peter Dutton regular guests.

Mr Morrison clearly sees the need to reach out through the 2GB airwaves.

Trouble between the two first stirred in 2015, when a deep rift opened up over Mr Abbott’s dumping for Malcolm Turnbull.

Hadley, one of Mr Abbott's strongest backers, accused Mr Morrison of treachery for supporting Mr Turnbull, and the now PM took offence when Hadley demanded he swear on a Bible.

The relationship warmed, until Hadley told his audience he wouldn't appear again.

The PM and Hadley agreed at the end of today's "short catch up" to stay in touch.
