Students evacuated after bomb threat at private Melbourne boys school

Hundreds of students have been evacuated from Scotch College in Melbourne after a possible bomb threat.

Authorities were called to the prestigious Hawthorn school on Morrison Street about 1pm.

Students have been evacuated from the college onto the oval.

Authorities said they are now conducting a safety check at the school.

Police told 9NEWS there may be traffic disruptions in the area as they investigate.
