A Surfers Paradise convenience store turned into a disco during Schoolies celebrations last night, as police made even more arrests.

Police dealt with one of this week's largest crowds on day six of Schoolies yesterday, as the sun and heat returned to the Gold Coast and drew school-leavers out of their apartments and on to the streets.

Despite the big numbers, police were overall pleased with revellers' behaviour, arresting six Schoolies and seven non-Schoolies last night.

The six male Schoolies were charged with nine offences relating to drug and public nuisance, and two Schoolies were given liquor infringement notices for drinking in public.

The seven non-Schoolies were charged with ten offences, some of which related to drugs.

Yesterday's figures bring the total number of arrests to at least 60 over the past six days.
