School bus crash south of Brisbane

A school minibus has crashed south of Brisbane, with children aboard escaping with minor injuries.

Initial information indicates the bus collided with another vehicle just after school on Thursday near an intersection in Beenleigh, police say.

It is believed 12 people, four adults and eight children, have suffered minor injuries. Paramedics are treating them at the scene.

Police have urged motorists to avoid the area.
