Scenes of destruction across flood and storm stricken south-east Queensland
A Queensland family has narrowly escaped with their lives after a huge tree fell on their home during severe storms.
Several south-east communities have been hit by more storms and heavy rainfall overnight, with conditions expected to continue for the next two days.
Ella Reeks, from Landsborough on the Sunshine Coast, said she rushed to her children when the storm struck at around 3.30am.

Ms Reeks said the tree tore through the family home around 3.30 am. Nine
"We heard a terrifyingly loud storm, so my husband and I jumped out of our bed which happens to be this lovely room here," she said, pointing to the tree which collapsed on her house.
"He screamed as the tree came through, he was unaware that I had gone to the kids so he thought I was in the room."

Ms Reeks said the pair rushed with their children to their kitchen pantry following cyclone advice.
She added the storm lasted ten minutes but caused immense damage.
"It was incredibly quick and the damage is quite extraordinary," she said.

"Our first reaction is we're glad everyone's safe, especially because it was in our room, we could've been in there so very relieved."
Shaun Olds, who was also forced to seek shelter with his family, said the storm felt like a cyclone.
"It was scary, we got the kids up and put them under the biggest door frame we had and you can see most of the trees are down behind us which just missed our bedrooms," he said.
"It was lucky we got up when we did."

Other residents describe trees puncturing windows and blowing down fences.
"Lots of wind it was like a mini cyclone," resident Rebecca Conolly said.
"It's been a rough trot I stood out here at three in the morning yelling at the sky going 'what more can you possibly give us.'"
The Bureau of Meteorology has confirmed more storms are imminent across the south-east later tonight describing conditions as 'dangerous' and 'potentially life-threatening.'
Severe weather conditions are expected to further saturate rivers and creeks, leading to more flash flooding.
Residents are urged to monitor weather warnings over the next two days and stay indoors when possible.
