The Scarborough Beach pool has officially opened this morning as a milestone in the redevelopment of the popular Western Australian beachside suburb.
Residents queued early this morning to be one of the first to use the pool.
The $26-million pool took about two weeks and 2.5 million litres of water to fill.

Geo-thermally heated, the pool will sit at a warm 27 degrees all year round and is expected to lure more than 1000 swimmers each day in summer.
The area also features a 200-seat grandstand and sun lounges.
The City of Stirling will host a community open day at the swimming pool on March 11.
