PHOTOS: Hollywood’s top earning actresses named

Oscar winner Sandra Bullock has topped the Forbes list of Hollywood’s highest paid actresses, jumping from seventh place.

The 50-year-old earned an estimated $51m over 12 months, after her hit space thriller film Gravity last year which won seven Academy Awards.

Jennifer Lawrence and Jennifer Aniston rounded out the top three, earning $34m and $31m respectively.

Forbes compiled the list by estimating earnings from the actresses’ film work, endorsements, residuals and advertising work, and by talking to agents, managers and lawyers.

Gwyneth Paltrow came in at number four with an estimated $19m, while Angelina Jolie dropped form top spot last year to fifth position at $18m.

Twilight star Kristen Stewart fell from number three last year to 10th place with earnings of $12m.

Despite the considerable incomes, Forbes said women still earn less than men in Hollywood.

The 10 highest earning actors took home a combined total of $419m, while Hollywood’s 10 best paid actresses only made a total of $226m over the same period.
