Teen to plead over fatal SA car crash

A 17-year-old boy who was a passenger in a stolen car involved in a fatal crash in Adelaide has indicated he will plead guilty to related charges.

The teenager came before the Youth Court on Friday where his lawyer indicated he would admit the charges related to the use of the ute.

Mother-of-two Nicole Tucker, 48, died in the fiery crash in October when the stolen ute, driven by a 15-year-old boy, collided with her car on Adelaide's Southern Expressway in October.

The driver of the ute has already pleaded guilty to seven charges, including causing death by dangerous driving.

He admitted stealing the ute from a home in Morphett Vale, stealing petrol from a service station and driving at more than 145km/h when he crashed before fleeing the scene.

Mrs Tucker's car burst into flames in the horror high-speed smash.

Her family released a statement after the crash, saying they were devastated by the "senseless death" of their beloved wife and mother.

"Nicole was a very loving mother and a wife. Her life was cut short too early," the family said.

The two teenagers, who cannot be named for legal reasons, remain in detention and will return to court on November 30.
