Woman carjacked north west of Adelaide

A woman has been carjacked and her car set alight northwest of Adelaide.

The woman was parked on the side of Mersey Road, Taperoo, when an unknown man got into her car, assaulted her and forced her out, just before 1.30am on Monday.

The man then sped off in the Holden station wagon north along Mersey Road.

The woman received minor injuries and her car was later found torched at Elizabeth East, just before 5am.
