Total fire bans in SA

Total fire bans have been put in place for much of South Australia prompted by forecasts of severe weather conditions.

The bans are in seven of the 15 fire districts, with an extreme fire danger rating for the West Coast.

The risk is severe in the Northwest Pastoral, Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Lower Eyre Peninsula, Mid North, Mount Lofty Ranges and Yorke Peninsula districts.

The temperature in Adelaide on Wednesday is expected to reach 35C, dropping to 26C on Thursday.
