Tax changes to drive SA developments
AAP
A major retail complex in Adelaide has created 600 ongoing jobs and will be followed by similar ventures following tax changes, South Australian Treasurer Tom Koutsantonis says.
The treasurer officially opened the Brickwork Marketplace on Thursday, which includes grocery and department stores as well as specialty shops, and says the government is optimistic of similar developments.
"The state government's tax reforms, which include phasing out stamp duty on non-residential property, will provide added incentive for companies to invest in developments like these," Mr Koutsantonis said.
