Eight climate protesters arrested after gluing themselves to Adelaide road
Eight Extinction Rebellion protesters have been arrested after gluing themselves to an Adelaide road during peak hour.
The stunt on King William Street sparked traffic chaos and hours-long traffic delays this morning.
Three hours into the protest, police officers intervened, dissolving the glue and cutting chains.

The activists called on the government to provide stronger climate change policy. 9News
SA Police Commissioner Grant Stevens sent a message to the protesters.
"We'll facilitate peaceful protests right across South Australia," he said.
"(But) I'm not sure you get your message across when you disrupt and inconvenience so many people who potentially support your cause."
The protesters were charged with obstructing the path of drivers, police said in a statement.
They are expected to be bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.
Ten other protesters were issued expiation notices.
