SA teen attacks man with machete

A teenage boy is accused of attacking a man with a machete after a failed robbery in Adelaide.

The 17-year-old tried to rob a convenience store in the CBD but left empty handed before assaulting a man on the street early on Tuesday, police say.

The victim was hospitalised with cuts to his ear and arm while the teenager was refused bail to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on Tuesday charged with attempted aggravated robbery and aggravated assault causing harm.
