Destructive storm rips through SA, bringing down trees on homes and cars
South Australians are waking up to a big clean up this morning after a destructive weather system ripped through the state overnight.
A low pressure system brought strong winds and heavy rain to the state's capital and surrounding suburbs.

Emergency services responded to over 30 calls for help with trees falling on houses, cars and powerlines.
One street in the Adelaide suburb of Morphett Vale felt the full force of the storm, with seven properties damaged by large branches and fallen trees.
Cars also suffered extensive damage with images showing front bumpers ripped off and smashed windscreens.

9News reporter Natarjsha Kramer described the damage as looking "like a mini tornado has gone through."
"Along this street trees have been shredded and snapped. Antennas ripped off roofs," she told Today.
A severe weather warning is still in place for parts of the state and heavy rain is predicted across the state into the morning and through the rest of the day.

The fast-moving system will bring wet weather to other parts of the country by the end of today as it crosses Australia's south eastern corner.
Victoria and NSW are expected to feel the brunt of the system as it moves up the coast today with thunderstorm action possible in some areas.
