SA police warn about tax scam

Dozens of South Australians have been targeted by scammers claiming to be from the Australian Tax Office.

Police say people are being contacted by phone with the callers demanding payment of a fake tax debt.

The tax office says it does make calls to people about debt but would never use demanding or aggressive tactics and more often sends a letter or an SMS message.
