SA man charged with kidnapping

A man is accused of a kidnapping, threatening somebody with a knife and breaking into an elderly person's home during a crime spree in Adelaide.

In a series of unrelated incidents on Monday, the knife-wielding 28-year-old chased a man down the street before breaking into an elderly person's home nearby in Adelaide's eastern suburbs, police say.

After disarming the suspect, officers found a third victim, who the accused knew, tied up in his home.

The man was refused bail to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday charged with offences including carrying an aggravated weapon, kidnapping and aggravated assault.
