AAP
The South Australian cabinet has met at the centre of defence shipbuilding in Australia to be briefed on the major projects earmarked for Adelaide.
The federal government has committed to building the Navy's next fleet of submarines, frigates and patrol boats at the Osborne site with total spending to hit $88 billion.
"The jobs and businesses that will come with these defence contracts will lead the way in modernising the economy and creating a secure future for today's young South Australians," Premier Jay Weatherill says.
