A South Australian teenage driver and her male passenger will face court over an alleged road rage attack that saw a man thrown from the bonnet of a car and left with head injuries.

An argument between two drivers at Dulwich in Adelaide on March 23 led a 24-year-old man to climb onto the bonnet of the teen's car.

A video shot by a bystander shows the man lying across the bonnet and driver's side of the windscreen when the driver takes off quickly.

The man holds on for a few seconds but goes flying off when the driver hits the brakes.

As the car drives off the man struggles to get back to his feet.

He was later taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with a minor head injury, the Adelaide Advertiser reports

Both drivers reported the incident to police.

A 17-year-old girl, who was the alleged driver, and a 24-year-old man have both been reported to police for disorderly behaviour and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
