Argument may factor in to SA man's death

People who witnessed an argument might be able to help shed light on why a man was left for dead in broad daylight in a busy Adelaide park.

The 36-year-old man died after being found with head injuries at a park in Hackham West, in Adelaide south, on Saturday afternoon.

Detective Superintendent Yvette Clark told reporters the death definitely "looks" a homicide but police don't yet have any suspects.

Witnesses reported seeing the man in the park for an hour or two before he was later found dead.

People also reported seeing up to two other men with him, and a woman.

Officers returned to the scene on Sunday morning to search the area with the assistance of SES volunteers.

Det Supt Clark appealed to anyone who was in the area between 11am and 4.30pm on Saturday who may have information, footage or images to come forward.

Police are especially keen for any witnesses or dashcam footage which may have captured a man and woman in their 30s arguing on nearby Honeypot Road.

"The man is not believed to be the victim in this matter, but police suspect the argument may somehow be related to the man's death," SA Police said in a statement on Sunday.
