Man charged for shooting cat with crossbow

An Adelaide Hills man has been charged with ill treatment of an animal after allegedly shooting a cat with a crossbow in April.
The 20-year-old from Mt Barker was arrested in May and charged with possessing prohibited weapons, with police arresting him for a second time on Wednesday to charge him with the animal cruelty offence.
He has been bailed to appear in the Mt Barker Magistrates Court on August 16.
